5. Events with alcohol

  • Golf N Go does not hold a liquor licence of its own. Any event with alcohol needs an AGLC private special event licence (SEL), obtained by the person or group renting the club (or their licensed caterer). Per AGLC, it costs $10 when drinks are free to guests (private non-sale) and $25 when guests pay for admission or drinks (private resale). Apply at aglc.ca/event-licence at least 14 days before the event, as AGLC recommends. Businesses whose guests pay must apply by phoning AGLC at 1-800-272-8876. This includes Golf N Go itself: if Golf N Go hosts a paid event with alcohol, it must apply by phone, not online.
  • The renter must confirm in writing, by emailing a copy of the issued AGLC licence for that date and for 9616 100 Street to info@golfngo.ca, between 14 and 7 days before the event. The deadline is 7 days before the event.
  • If the licence copy is not provided by then, the event goes ahead alcohol-free. Booking and cancellation terms don't change. The damage deposit drops to the non-alcohol amount, and any alcohol-related add-on booked only because of alcohol is refunded.
  • If AGLC refuses or hasn't issued the licence and you send proof of an on-time application before the deadline, you may instead move the event once, free, to a date within 6 months (any price difference applies).
  • Alcohol is never allowed at children's birthday parties, Fun Camp, field trips or regular bookings.
  • Alcohol on site without a confirmed licence will be removed, and the event may be ended without a refund.

6. Memberships, hour packs and gift cards

  • Memberships, hour packs and punch cards are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless the law requires otherwise.
  • Gift cards: Golf N Go gift cards never expire, have no fees, can be given to anyone (they are transferable), and are not redeemable for cash. Any remaining balance stays on the card. Bonus or promotional cards given free of charge may have conditions posted at the time of issue.
  • Monthly memberships: to cancel, give us at least 30 days' written notice (email info@golfngo.ca). Billing continues during the notice period, and access stays active until it ends.
  • The season runs November to March. Unless your purchase says otherwise, hours and season memberships must be used within the season they were bought for. This does not apply to gift cards.
  • Promotions and perks are honoured as posted, and only one perk applies per booking.

7. Access, conduct and general facility rules

  • Your GymMaster account and door access are for you only. Don't let anyone in who isn't part of your booking.
  • Use the equipment only as intended and follow all posted rules and safety signs.
  • No outdoor shoes or muddy footwear are allowed anywhere in the club. Change into clean indoor shoes when you arrive.
  • Outside food is welcome, but never at the stations. You may bring outside food and drinks (pizza, takeout, home-cooked food, cakes and snacks) and enjoy them in the party room and common areas. No food or drinks are allowed on or at any station at any time. This includes the simulator bays, the VR stations, the batting cage and the multi-sport area.
  • Clean up after yourself. Any mess left behind may result in additional charges for cleaning or damages, charged to the card on file.
  • Don't bring illegal drugs, don't be impaired, don't smoke or vape, and don't behave aggressively or unsafely.
  • We may cancel your booking, deactivate your door access or end your membership, without a refund, if you break these terms.

8. Damage and liability

  • You are responsible for any damage that you, your guests or the minors with you cause beyond normal wear. That includes simulator screens, projectors, VR headsets, VR treadmills and the pitching machine. We may charge the cost of repair or replacement to the card on file.
  • Everyone must sign our Release of Liability Waiver before using the club. As far as the law allows, Golf N Go is not liable for injury, loss or damage that comes from using the club.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.

9. VR stations

Our VR stations are opening soon. They have omnidirectional treadmills and Meta Quest headsets supplied by Golf N Go.

Who can play: players must be 14 to 60 years old, 5 ft 1 in to 6 ft 6 in tall, and weigh under 286 lb. Players aged 14 to 17 must come with a parent or guardian who supervises them for the whole session. These rules apply to the headsets and the treadmills alike.

Health: don't play if you are pregnant, or have epilepsy or a seizure history, a heart or lung (cardiopulmonary) condition, an eye condition, a mental health condition that VR may affect, anemia, are recovering from surgery, have any limb condition (especially of the legs), or have any other condition that rules out moderate to intense exercise. Don't play if you are tired, unwell, or have had alcohol or drugs. If you're unsure, ask your doctor first.

Before you play: watch the Golf N Go VR safety video before every session, and follow it. Read the health and safety warnings for Meta Quest, posted at the station and at meta.com/quest/safety-center. Wear the treadmill shoes and fasten the harness as shown before you start walking.

While you play: stay inside the play area and the boundary shown in the headset, move at a steady pace, and take a break at least once an hour. Spectators must stay at least 3 ft away from a treadmill in use. Stop right away if you feel dizzy, sick, disoriented or unwell.

Accounts and content: the headsets are set up for venue use. Don't sign in to personal accounts, install apps or change settings. Only the games and experiences we provide may be played.

Meta terms: using the Meta Quest headsets here is also subject to Meta's terms and privacy policies, listed in our VR Safety and Meta Notice. Meta is not responsible for how Golf N Go collects, uses or shares information about your VR session.

We may refuse or stop VR use by anyone who doesn't meet these rules, without a refund for that equipment.

10. Batting cage

  • Absolutely no cleats are allowed in the batting cage. Wear clean indoor athletic shoes.
  • Anyone under 16 must be supervised by an adult (18+) at all times while using the batting cage.
  • Pitch speeds can reach 68 mph. Review the machine instructions before use to make sure you use it properly.
  • Batting helmets are provided and must be worn at all times while batting.
  • Use only the balls provided by Golf N Go. Using any other balls or altering any equipment is not permitted and is at your own risk, and you will be liable for any resulting damage to the equipment.
  • Only one batter is allowed in the cage at a time. Everyone else stays outside the cage.
  • Stop the pitching machine before entering the cage to collect balls, and keep the machine area clear.

11. Minors

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult (18+) for the whole visit. At the VR stations, players aged 14 to 17 must come with a parent or guardian who supervises them (section 9). A parent or guardian must sign the waiver for anyone under 18.

12. Contests and promotions

Contests run by Golf N Go follow the official rules posted for each contest. Promotions are honoured as posted.

13. Privacy

We handle personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy at golfngo.ca/privacy.

14. Third-party products and trademarks

Golf N Go is an independent business. Simulator software, VR headsets, VR treadmills, games and other equipment are made by third parties, and their names and trademarks belong to their owners. See our Equipment and Brand Notice.

15. Changes

We may update these terms, prices or hours. The current version will be posted at golfngo.ca. Changes don't affect bookings already paid for.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Alberta. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Alberta's Consumer Protection Act.
